عين رئيس الدولة بشير جوماي فاي اليوم الأربعاء، الدكتور جيم درامي مديرا لإدارة الشؤون الدينية وإدماج الخريجين باللغة العربية في رئاسة الجمهورية، حسبما ذكر بلاغ صحفي لمجلس الوزراء.
وأعلن الرئيس فاي، قبل أيام، تعيين شخصية “ستحقق القبول و التوافق” للشؤون الدينية الإسلامية في السنغال .
جيم درامي هو أستاذ وباحث كبير في IFAN – المعهد الأساسي لأفريقيا السوداء بجامعة شيخ أنتا ديوب في داكار، حيث يدير قسم المخطوطات الإسلامية ، الدكتور درامي حفظ القرآن الكريم في مدرسة كوكي ،ثم التحق بالمعهد العربي الفرنسي سابقا ،وثانوية فاضل امباكي حاليا ، حيث حصل على منحة دراسية لمواصلة دراساته في جمهورية مصر العربية ، وبعد عودته إلى السنغال مارس مهنة الإعلام في القسم العربي لإذاعة والفجر ، وكاتب مقالات في مجلة الصحوة السنغالية ،ثم مدرسا في المعهد الإسلامي بدكار .
حاصل على الدكتوراه في اللغات والحضارات العربية الإسلامية،
ألف عددا من الكتب منها كتاب: “التعليم العربي الإسلامي في السنغال: دارة كوكي”.
وغيره من الكتب القيمة في التاريخ والحضارة الإسلامية.
