أعلن رئيس الوزراء السنغالي عثمان سونكو أنه سيلقي إعلان سياسته العامة في 27 ديسمبر المقبل أمام البرلمان. جاء هذا الإعلان خلال اجتماع مجلس الوزراء يوم الأربعاء، وسط جدل واسع أثارته هذه الخطوة.
وفقًا للمادة 55 من الدستور السنغالي، يتوجب على رئيس الوزراء تقديم إعلان سياسته العامة أمام الجمعية الوطنية، يعقبه نقاش يمكن أن ينتهي بالتصويت على الثقة بناءً على طلب رئيس الوزراء. يحتاج منح الثقة إلى أغلبية مطلقة من النواب.
كما تتيح المادة 86 من الدستور لرئيس الحكومة، بعد مداولات مجلس الوزراء، أن يطلب التصويت على برنامج أو إعلان السياسة العامة. رغم إشارته في اجتماع مجلس الوزراء في 5 يونيو الماضي إلى التحضير لهذا الإعلان، قرر سونكو تأجيله إلى ما بعد تنصيب الهيئة التشريعية الخامسة عشرة، التي بدأت مهامها رسميًا في 2 ديسمبر الجاري.
