بعثة المراقبة المشتركة للاتحاد الإفريقي والإيكواس تشيد بـ”روح الوطنية العالية” لدى السنغاليين خلال الانتخابات التشريعية
– أشادت بعثة المراقبة المشتركة للاتحاد الإفريقي (UA) والمجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب إفريقيا (الإيكواس) يوم الثلاثاء في داكار بـ”روح الوطنية العالية” التي أظهرها السنغاليون، وبسلوكهم السلمي خلال العملية الانتخابية التي أفضت إلى إجراء الانتخابات التشريعية المبكرة يوم الأحد الماضي “دون أي اضطرابات”.
وقال رولاند كواسي أموسوجا غيرو، خلال قراءته للبيان التمهيدي للبعثة الذي سيُتبع بتقرير نهائي: “تشيد البعثة المشتركة للاتحاد الإفريقي والإيكواس بروح الوطنية العالية والسلوك السلمي الذي أظهرته الأطراف المعنية والناخبون طوال العملية الانتخابية”.
وأكدت البعثة أن عملية التصويت جرت “بشكل عام دون اضطرابات وفي أجواء سلمية للغاية”، مما سمح للناخبين بممارسة حقهم في التصويت “دون أي عوائق”.
ومع ذلك، لاحظت البعثة أن “20.52% من مراكز الاقتراع لم تكن مهيأة بالشكل الكافي لاستقبال الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، لا سيما كبار السن”، ودعت السلطات إلى تحسين هذه النقطة في المستقبل لضمان مشاركة الجميع.
كما أثنت البعثة على “كفاءة” الجهات المسؤولة عن تنظيم الانتخابات، مشيدة بالتنسيق المحكم الذي ساهم في نجاح العملية الانتخابية.
وأشادت البعثة كذلك بـ”الروح الرياضية” التي أظهرها المرشحون الذين خسروا الانتخابات، حيث سارعوا إلى تهنئة حزب باستيف الذي حصل على أكبر عدد من الأصوات، قبل الإعلان الرسمي عن النتائج.
توصيات لتحسين العملية الانتخابية
دعت البعثة السلطات السنغالية إلى اعتماد “نظام ورقة تصويت موحدة تضم جميع المرشحين وشعارات الأحزاب والائتلافات”، بهدف تقليل استخدام الأوراق المتعددة وخفض تكاليف الطباعة.
وأوصت البعثة أيضًا بتوفير تجهيزات ملائمة لضمان وصول الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بسهولة إلى مراكز الاقتراع، لتعزيز الشمولية في العملية الانتخابية.
وأعرب رئيس البعثة المشتركة، فرانسيس أليكس تسغاه، عن أمله في أن يتم تنفيذ التوصيات التي أُعدت بناءً على الملاحظات الميدانية، لتعزيز المكتسبات الديمقراطية في البلاد.
يُذكر أن البعثة المشتركة نشرت 140 مراقبًا في 43 فريقًا غطت جميع المناطق الـ14 في السنغال، لمتابعة سير العملية الانتخابية.
