أعلنت النقابة المشتركة لموظفي الإداريين والفنيين وعمّال الخدمات (PATS) في جامعة الشيخ أنت جوب أن الوضع في الحرم الجامعي لم يعد مقبولًا، مؤكدة أنها ستدعو جميع العمال إلى البقاء في منازلهم خلال 24 ساعة إذا لم تتم معالجة الأزمة الجارية.
ودعت النقابة، في انتظار تنفيذ هذه الخطوة، كل عامل إلى تقييم وضعه الشخصي داخل الجامعة واتخاذ قرار المغادرة فورًا عند وجود أي تهديد محتمل. وبررت هذا التوجيه بغياب شروط السلامة داخل أماكن العمل، مشيرة إلى أن عددًا من موظفي الجامعة قد تعرضوا لعنف جسدي ومعنوي داخل الحرم التربوي خلال الساعات الماضية.
وطالبت النقابة رئاسة الجامعة باتخاذ كافة التدابير الأمنية اللازمة لحماية العاملين وضمان استمرارية العمل في ظروف آمنة. وأكدت أنها تتابع التطورات عن كثب، ولن تتردد في اتخاذ “القرارات المناسبة” بناءً على ما ستؤول إليه الأوضاع.
