تستعد السنغال لإطلاق مرحلة جديدة في مسار التحول الرقمي من خلال نشر خدمة الإنترنت عبر الأقمار الصناعية ستارلينك، ضمن برنامج “العقد التكنولوجي الجديد”، الهادف إلى تعميم الولوج إلى الإنترنت عالي السرعة، خاصة في المناطق الريفية والنائية والحدودية.
وأعلنت وزارة الاتصال والاتصالات والرقمنة أن الحكومة تفاوضت لاقتناء 5 آلاف جهاز ستارلينك بسعر تفضيلي، بهدف تمكين مليون سنغالي من الاتصال المجاني بالإنترنت خلال النصف الأول من عام 2026.
وستستفيد من هذه المبادرة بالدرجة الأولى المناطق البيضاء، إضافة إلى قطاعات التعليم والتكوين المهني والجماعات المحلية والمناطق الحدودية، إلى جانب برامج تنموية خاصة من بينها خطة ديوماي لتنمية إقليم كازامانس.
وأكدت الوزارة أن ستارلينك تخضع للإطار التنظيمي المعمول به في السنغال مثل باقي مزودي خدمات الإنترنت، مشيرة إلى أن هذه الخطوة ستساهم في تقليص الفجوة الرقمية وتعزيز الإدماج الرقمي ودعم التنمية الاقتصادية
