من المقرر عقد حفل رسمي لتقديم البطاقات الصحفية الوطنية الأولى للصحفيين وفنيي الإعلام صباح اليوم بوزارة الثقافة والاتصال.
وذكر البيان أن الحدث سيقام بحضور الوزير عبد الله جوب.
يعد إنشاء البطاقة الوطنية للصحافة أحد الإصلاحات الرئيسية لقانون الصحافة التي تهدف إلى تنظيم قطاع الإعلام.
تصدر البطاقة الصحفية الوطنية من قبل لجنة برئاسة الصحفي داوود مين ،
وتتكون من ثمانية أعضاء كاملي العضوية وثمانية مناوبين: ممثل عن الوزارة المكلفة بالعدل ؛ ممثل عن الوزارة المكلفة بالاتصالات ؛ ممثل عن الوزارة المكلفة بالعمل.
كما تضم ممثلاً عن منظمة الصحافة الأكثر تمثيلاً لأصحاب العمل ؛ ممثل عن الاتحاد الأكثر تمثيلاً للإعلاميين ؛ ممثل لجمعية الصحافة على الإنترنت الأكثر تمثيلا.
وفقًا لقانون الصحافة ، “تعمل لجنة بطاقة الصحافة الوطنية أيضًا بمثابة لجنة للتحقق من صحة الخبرة السابقة ويجب أن تضمن نشر قائمة الصحفيين الحاملين لبطاقة الصحافة الوطنية. بجميع الوسائل المناسبة”.
يشير النص إلى أن الصحفي أو الفني “يحق له الحصول على بطاقة الصحافة الوطنية” وأن “فقط حاملي بطاقة الصحافة الوطنية يمكنهم المطالبة بوضع الصحفي أو الفني الإعلامي عند” فرصة إقامة أي إجراء إداري. بهدف الاستفادة من الإجراءات التي تتخذها أجهزة الدولة لصالح الصحافة ”.
