قمة استثنائية للإيكواس حول مالي بعد قرارها تمديد الفترة الانتقالية 5 سنوات.

أعلنت مفوضية المجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب إفريقيا “إيكواس” عن عقد قمة استثنائية حول مالي يوم الأحد المقبل 9 يناير في العاصمة الغانية أكرا.
ويأتي الإعلان عن هذه القمة الاستثنائية، بعد إطلاع وفد مالي برئاسة وزير خارجية البلاد عبدولاي ديوب “إيكواس” ممثلة في رئيسها نانا أكوفو أدو على مخرجات جلسات التشاور الأخيرة في باماكو، والتي اقترحت تمديدا للفترة الانتقالية لمدة 5 سنوات، تجرى الانتخابات في نهايتها.
وقررت “إيكواس” وفق بيان صادر عنها، زيارة لوسيطها رئيس نيجيريا السابق أوليسيغان أوباسانجو إلى ماكو يوم الأربعاء 5 يناير للتباحث مع قادة البلاد.
وكانت المجموعة غرب الإفريقية، قد هددت بفرض مزيد من العقوبات على مالي، في حال عدم تنظيمها للانتخابات المقررة في 27 فبراير المقبل.
غير أن السلطات الانتقالية المالية، قالت إنها ستقدم جدولا زمنيا لتنظيم الانتخابات في نهاية مشاورات وطنية موسعة، وهي المشاورات التي أوصت في ختامها في 30 ديسمبر الماضي بتمديد المرحلة الانتقالية لما بين 6 أشهر و5 سنوات.
