انتخب مرشح حزب “مؤتمر الجميع التقدميين” الحاكم في نيجيريا، بولا أحمد تينوبو، الأربعاء، رئيسا للبلاد، متفوقا بذلك على 18 مرشحا.
وقال محمود يعقوبو، رئيس اللجنة الانتخابية الوطنية المستقلة إن تينوبو حصل على 8.7 ملايين صوت في السباق الذي أقيم في الفترة بين 25 إلى 26 فبراير/شباط.
فيما حصل مرشح حزب “الشعب الديمقراطي” المعارض الرئيسي أتيكو أبو بكر، على 6.9 ملايين صوت، ومرشح “حزب العمال” بيتر أوبي على 6.1 ملايين صوت.
وتنافس في نيجيريا التي يبلغ عدد سكانها حوالي 206 ملايين نسمة، 18 مرشحا على الرئاسة.
وأمس، طالب حزبا المعارضة الرئيسيان في نيجيريا بإلغاء الانتخابات الرئاسية التي أجريت نهاية الأسبوع.
واعتبر حزبا العمال والشعب الديمقراطي أن “التلاعب بالنتائج أدى إلى اقتراع لم يكن حرا ولا نزيها ولا شفافا”، حسبما نقل موقع قناة “فرانس 24”.
وكانت هجمات على مراكز جمع الأصوات اندلعت خلال العملية الانتخابية، على خلفية مزاعم بحدوث تزوير.
وشهدت العملية الانتخابية تعقيدات بعد استخدام تقنيات إلكترونية جديدة لجمع الأصوات للمرة الأولى على الصعيد الوطني، مع فشل معظم الوكلاء في تحميل النتائج من حوالي 176 ألف مكتب إنتخابي على منصة “إينيك”.
