وفي رده على ذلك، شكل مجلس النواب لجنة مكلفة بوضع خارطة طريق بالتشاور مع جميع الأطراف السياسية الليبية، للمرحلة القادمة التي ستنتهي بتنظيم انتخابات عامة في أقرب وقت ممكن، طبقا لتطلعات الليبيين.
وأشار الدبلوماسي الليبي إلى أن الاجتماع مع الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بحث “كيفية دعم الأمم المتحدة والهيئات الأخرى بشكل فعال في المرحلة القادمة لضمان إجراء انتخابات نزيهة وشفافة تقبل جميع الأطراف بنتائجها عندما يتم الاتفاق على خارطة طريق جديدة”.
وتطرق اللقاء أيضا لكيفية دعم مسار المصالحة والعدالة الانتقالية وخلق حوار وطني جامع، والدور الممكن للجنة تعزيز السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة في هذا الإطار.
من جانبه أكد السني، في الاجتماع، “على أهمية دعم إرادة الليبيين في تقرير مصيرهم دون أي إملاءات وإيجاد حلول عملية لتحديات المسار الديمقراطي وسبل التوصل إلى توافق وطني مع تفادي الأخطاء السابقة، وكذلك احترام تملك الليبيين للعملية السياسية بطريقة تضمن عدم إقصاء أي أحد، وبعيداً عن أي تدخلات خارجية وإنهاء التواجد الأجنبي في البلاد”.
