ولفت معالي الوزير إلى أن وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد عملت خلال الأعوام الثمانية الماضية على تطوير المسابقة والارتقاء بها، حتى ارتفع عدد الفائزين من (12) إلى (50) فائزًا وفائزة، وارتفعت قيمة الجوائز من (1,145,000) ريال إلى (10,260,000) ريال، تكريمًا لأهل القرآن وتشجيعًا لحفظته وتعزيزًا لمكانة المسابقة بين المحافل القرآنية الدولية.
