واعتبر المعارض كامارا، أن نتائج الانتخابات، غير نزيهة.
وأشار في تغريدته، إلى أنه سيتجاوز “هذه المهزلة وأتعهّد مواصلة النضال من أجل سيراليون أفضل”.
ومن جهة أخرى، ذكر الاتحاد الأوروبي أن “الافتقار إلى الشفافية والتواصل من قبل السلطة الانتخابية أدّى إلى حالة عدم الثقة هذه”.
ولفتوا إلى “أنهم تلقوا تقارير عن حوادث عنف في 6 مناطق، وشهدوا أعمال عنف مباشرة في 7 مراكز خلال ساعات الاقتراع، و3 أخرى خلال مرحلتيْ إغلاق مراكز الاقتراع وفرز الأصوات.”
