خرج عمدة دكار السابق خليفة سال عن صمته السياسي، متوجهاً برسالة تعبئة لأنصاره داعيًا إلى توحيد صفوف المعارضة من أجل استعادة السلطة من الحزب الحاكم باستيف.
وخلال مؤتمر نظمته حركته السياسية تاكاوو السنغال، أكد خليفة سال أن المرحلة المقبلة ستشهد تحركًا سياسيًا يهدف إلى جمع قوى المعارضة. وقال في هذا السياق إن «الوحدة هي مصدر القوة»، مشددًا على ضرورة التكتل والعمل المشترك من أجل إخراج من وصفهم بـ«القائمين على الحكم» من السلطة.
وتوقع الزعيم المعارض أن يفقد حزب باستيف السلطة بالطريقة نفسها التي وصل بها إليها، موضحًا أن الحزب وصل إلى الحكم عبر الخطاب السياسي المكثف والتعبئة الشعبية، مضيفًا أن الإفراط في الخطاب نفسه قد يكون سببًا في خسارته للسلطة في المستقبل.
وفي حديثه عن مستقبل حركته السياسية، أكد خليفة سال أن تاكسوو السنغال لن تعتمد الأساليب نفسها التي استخدمها خصومها للوصول إلى الحكم، مشيرًا إلى أن النضال السياسي يجب أن يقوم على القناعات وخدمة مصلحة الشعب، لا على الوعود التي لا يمكن تنفيذها.
كما دعا أنصاره إلى تكثيف الحضور الميداني والتواصل المباشر مع المواطنين، معلنًا أن 9 مايو المقبل سيكون موعدًا لإعادة تنظيم صفوف الحركة في إطار عمل مع قوى المعارضة، تمهيدًا لما وصفه بـ«استعادة السلطة
