تعقد لجنة السياسة النقدية التابعة للبنك المركزي لدول غرب أفريقيا (BCEAO) جلستها العادية الثانية لهذا العام اليوم الأربعاء المقبل، لبحث الوضع الاقتصادي والنقدي للاتحاد في ظل تدهور الأوضاع الدولية.

وأشار الاتحاد إلى أن صندوق النقد الدولي خفّض توقعاته للنمو العالمي إلى 1% لعام 2026، مقارنةً بـ 3.4% لعام 2025، بينما من المتوقع الآن أن يصل التضخم العالمي إلى 4%، أي ضعف التوقعات الأولية. ويعود السبب في ذلك إلى الصراع الدائر في الشرق الأوسط، والذي، بحسب البنك المركزي لدول غرب أفريقيا، يؤثر بشكل كبير على أسعار الطاقة ويعطل سلاسل التوريد العالمية.

وفي الاتحاد الاقتصادي والنقدي لغرب أفريقيا (WAEMU)، بدأت تداعيات هذا الوضع تظهر، وفقًا لآراء المعنيين المجتمعين صباح اليوم. كما أن ارتفاع أسعار الشحن البحري المسجل بين مارس ومايو 2026 يضغط بشكل متزايد على الأسعار في العديد من الدول الأعضاء. على الرغم من كل شيء، فإن المنطقة تحافظ على استقرارها، مدعومةً بموسم زراعي جيد، وتوقعات ببقاء التضخم دون 2% في عام 2026، ونمو متوقع في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي بنسبة 6.1% في النصف الأول من العام، مما يؤكد مرونة اقتصادات المنطقة.
