دعت بوركينا فاسو والنيجر، مالي “للعودة إلى تحمّل مسؤولياتها” في القوة العسكرية المشتركة لمكافحة المسلحين والتي تضمّ إلى هذه الدول الثلاث كلاً من تشاد وموريتانيا.
وفي منتصف مايو قرّرت السلطات الانتقالية في مالي، بعدما مُنعت من تولّي رئاسة مجموعة الدول الخمس، الانسحاب من هذا التكتّل الإقليمي ومن القوة العسكرية المشتركة التابعة له.
وعزت باماكو انسحابها من هذا التحالف العسكري الذي يحارب الجماعات المسلحة في الدول الخمس إلى “فقدان استقلاليتها” ومعاناتها من “استغلال” من جانب بقية حلفائها الأربعة.
والإثنين قال وزير الدفاع النيجري القاسم إنداتو خلال زيارة إلى واغادوغو عاصمة بوركينا فاسو “لقد استعرضنا الوضع الإقليمي وفكّرنا في أنّ مالي هي اليوم الغائب الأكبر عن التعاون في مجال الدفاع”.
وأضاف في الزيارة التي رافقه فيها نظيره البوركيني الجنرال بارثيليمي سيمبوريه “علينا العمل حتى تعود مالي وتتحمّل مسؤولياتها وتؤدّي دورها”.
وأدلى الوزير بتصريحه في أعقاب اجتماع مع رئيس المرحلة الانتقالية في بوركينا فاسو كولونيل بول-هنري سانداوغو.
وأوضح أنّه “بالإضافة إلى هذه العمليات، نعتزم تنفيذ عمليات تكون وتيرتها أكثر انتظاماً وديمومة على الأرض بين مختلف الجيوش لضمان سيطرتها على الأرض وعدم ترك سنتيمتر واحد للمسلحين، في النيجر كما في بوركينا فاسو”.
وبين 2 و25 أبريل، نفّذت وحدات من جيشي البلدين عملية مشتركة أطلق عليها اسم تانلي-3 وأسفرت عن تحييد “حوالى مئة مسلح”، بحسب رئاستي الأركان في الجيشين”.
ومنذ سنوات تشهد بوركينا فاسو وجارتها النيجر هجمات تشنّها جماعات مسلحة في البلاد .
وتسبّبت هذه الهجمات في مقتل آلاف الأشخاص في كلا البلدين وتهجير مئات الآلاف.
