قالت وزيرة النفط والطاقة السنغالية عائشة صوفي غلاديما، إن أكثر من 640 مليون إفريقي “لا يحصلون على الطاقة، وهو ما يتناسب مع معدل يزيد قليلا على 40%، ويعد الأدنى في العالم”.
وأوضحت الوزيرة السنغالية في كلمة لها، خلال أشغال المؤتمر العشرين لاتحاد مؤسسات الكهرباء الإفريقية المنعقد بالسنغال، أن نصيب الفرد من استهلاك الكهرباء في إفريقيا جنوب الصحراء باستثناء جنوب إفريقيا “يصل 180 كيلووات/ للساعة، مقابل 13000 كيلووات/ للساعة نصيب الفرد في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، و6500 كيلووات/ للساعة في أوروبا”.
وشددت الوزيرة السنغالية على ضرورة وضع خارطة طريق لضمان إمدادات طاقة أفضل للدول الإفريقية، وذلك “من خلال استراتيجية تقوم على 9 محاور”، ذكرت من ضمنها “إنشاء صندوق إقليمي لإعداد المشاريع، وكذا تطوير أسواق الكهرباء على المستوى الإفريقي من خلال إنشاء ممرات ربط، والإنجاز التدريجي لسوق كهرباء موحد في إفريقيا”.
ويبحث المؤتمر المتواصلة أعماله إلى غاية 21 يوليو الجاري، مواضيع بينها “تسريع الوصول الى الكهرباء بالنسبة لسكان المناطق القروية وشبه الحضرية”، و”رقمنة شركات الكهرباء لتحسين جودة الخدمة العامة”، و”تعزيز تقاسم الممارسات الفضلى بين الجهات الفاعلة في قطاع الكهرباء” و”كفاءة الطاقة، رافعة لتحسين جدوى شركات الكهرباء”.
ووفقا للمنظمين، فإن هذا المؤتمر يعد الأكبر من نوعه حول الطاقة في إفريقيا، ويعرف مشاركة أكثر من 1000 شخص من المديرين التنفيذيين وصناع القرار من شركات الكهرباء والطاقة، إضافة إلى الخبراء والمستثمرين.
