أنكر رئيس اتحاد كرة القدم السابق في جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى باتريس نغايسونا أمام المحكمة الجنائية الدولية تهم ارتكاب جرائم حرب.
وأنكر القائد السابق لميليشيات مسيحية استهدفت بالأساس أبناء قبيلة بالاكا الاعتراف كذلك بارتكاب جرائم ضد الإنسانية.
وبدأت محاكمة نغايسونا وألفريد يكاتوم أمام المحكمة الجنائية الدولية بارتكاب جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية باستهداف المسلمين في أفريقيا الوسطى خلال عامي 2013 و 2014.
ولازالت الحرب الأهلية مستمرة في البلاد التي يسيطر أمراء الحرب على ثلثي أراضيها.
وخلال الجلسة الافتتاحية للمحكمة، قال ممثل الاتهام إنه يعرف بالقاعدة القانونية التي تؤكد أن المتهم بريء حتى تثبت إدانته لكنه أكد أن “الأحداث التي وقعت في أفريقيا الوسطى صادمة للضمير وتتعدى حدود الطبيعة الإنسانية”
