جنوب السودان يشهد تخرج أول دفعة من أفراد القوات المسلحة الموحدة.
تخرج أكثر من 2100 من أفراد القوات المسلحة في جنوب السودان ، كجزء من قوة موحدة ستتولى مسؤولية أمن البلاد.
ويأتي ذلك بعد عدة تمديدات نهائية بعد اتفاق السلام لعام 2018 ، الذي يتطلب من جميع الفصائل المقاتلة إلقاء أسلحتها وتشكيل جيش دولة مشترك.
وكان العديد من الجنود في الحفل ينتمون في السابق إلى فصائل مقاتلة مختلفة, لكنهم تعهدوا بالولاء لبلدهم, وسيتم توزيعهم على قوات الأمن القومي والشرطة وخدمات السجون.
ودعا رئيس جنوب السودان سلفا كير، الدفعة التي تضم أكثر من ألفي جندي إلى تجنب الانقسامات السياسية والعرقية، بعدما أتموا تدريبهم بنجاح.
وقال سلفا كير “من اليوم أنتم لستم أجنحة عسكرية لأي فصيل.. أنتم الآن تنتمون لشعب جنوب السودان” داعيا إياهم لمعاملة كل أبناء جنوب السودان على قدم المساواة.
ومن ناحيتها، قالت وزيرة الدفاع أنجلينا تيني لوسائل إعلام محلية إن وزارتها ستشرع الآن في نشر قوات الأمن وإن دفعة أخرى ستتخرج في غضون ستة أشهر. ويستهدف جنوب السودان تخريج ثلاثة وثمانين ألف عنصر أمن.
وفي عام 2013 ، اندلعت الحرب في جنوب السودان بين القوات المتحالفة مع الرئيس سلفا كير ونائبه آنذاك ريك مشار, حيث قُتل آلاف المدنيين ونزح آخرون.
وأنهى اتفاق سلام تم توقيعه في 2018 معظم القتال ، وتم الاتفاق على تدريب حوالي 80 ألف جندي من أجل قوة أمنية موحدة.
وتشكلت حكومة انتقالية مشتركة عام 2020 ، مع خطط لإجراء انتخابات في ديسمبر، لكنها تأجلت حتى عام 2024. ويشهد جنوب السودان سلامًا هشًا ، حيث لا تزال الجماعات المسلحة تعمل في أجزاء من بعض المناطق.
