انعقد مجلس الوزراء، يوم الأربعاء 27 مارس 2024، بقصر الجمهورية، برئاسة رئيس الدولة فخامة السيد ماكي سال.
وأشاد رئيس الجمهورية في بداية بلاغه بنجاح إجراء الانتخابات الرئاسية يوم 24 مارس 2024، مقدما التهنئة لوزير الداخلية والإدارة الترابية وإدارة الانتخابات واللجنة الانتخابية الوطنية المستقلة وكذا الدفاع والأمن. القوى التي سمح التزامها وعملها الجيد بإجراء الانتخابات في هدوء وسكينة.
كما رحب رئيس الدولة بالتعبئة القوية للناخبين عبر التراب الوطني وفي الخارج، فضلا عن شفافية التصويت، مما يؤكد أن السنغال تظل دولة تحكمها سيادة القانون.
كما عاد رئيس الجمهورية إلى اللقاء الذي منحه للبعثات المراقبة التي يبلغ عددها 2462، والذي أعطى تقييما إيجابيا لتنظيم الاقتراع، مؤكدا بذلك نضج وترسيخ الديمقراطية الجمهورية السنغالية، التي ستعرف، منذ عام 2000. ، خلال 24 عامًا، ثلاثة (3) تناوبات على السلطة جرت في سلام واستقرار.
كما جدد رئيس الدولة تهنئته للمرشح باسيرو ديوماي دياخار فاي، الذي انتخب في الجولة الأولى رئيسا لجمهورية السنغال، الرئيس الخامس للسنغال المستقلة.
ومن أجل تنصيب رئيس الجمهورية الجديد المنتخب في أفضل الظروف، طلب رئيس الدولة من الحكومة والوزير الكاتب العام لرئاسة الجمهورية والوزير الكاتب العام للحكومة القيام باتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لضمان، إعداد ملفات نقل الصلاحيات.
ومواصلة لاتصالاته بشأن انتهاء مهمة الحكومة ورضاه عن العمل المنجز في تنفيذ خطة السنغال الناشئة، اغتنم رئيس الدولة فرصة هذا المجلس الأخير للوزراء في سلطته، ليشكر الشعب السنغالي الذي وثق فيه لمدة اثني عشر عامًا في أعلى منصب في الجمهورية.
