وأقيمت التصفيات الأولية بمدينة زنجبار بحضور مفتي زنجبار الشيخ صالح كعبي، والملحق الديني بسفارة خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية تنزانيا المتحدة الشيخ متعب بن سليمان الزماي، ورئيس مسابقة تنزانيا الدولية للقرآن الكريم الشيخ عثمان كابورو، إلى جانب عدد من العلماء والمسؤولين والمهتمين بالعمل القرآني.
