ألغت المحكمة العليا في دكار قرار محكمة زيغينشور القاضي بإعادة عثمان سونكو إلى القائمة الانتخابية. وأحالت القضية للمحاكمة إلى محكمة داكار الخاصة.
وخلال هذه الجلسة، طلب المدعي العام للمحكمة العليا، عثمان جانج، “رفض استئناف الوكيل القضائي للدولة”، مؤكدا أن محكمة زيغينشور مختصة بالفعل بدراسة طلب إعادة إدراج السيد سونكو في قوائمه.
ألغى القاضي صباسي فاي، الخميس 12 أكتوبر، قرار شطب عثمان سونكو من القوائم الانتخابية. وحرم هذا الشطب المعارض المسجون منذ نهاية يوليو/تموز الماضي من الترشح للانتخابات الرئاسية 2024.
وبعد هذا القرار تقدمت الدولة باستئناف أمام المحكمة العليا لإلغاء هذا القرار.
