وتضم الجائزة ثلاثة فروع رئيسية:
الحفظ الكامل مع الترتيل والتجويد والتفسير،
الحفظ الكامل مع الترتيل والتجويد،
وفرع التجويد وحسن الأداء مع حفظ عشرة أحزاب من سورة الأحقاف إلى سورة الناس.
ويشارك في المسابقة القراء الوطنيون عبر التصفيات الأولية، إضافة إلى قراء من خارج السنغال عبر دعوات مفتوحة وترشيحات خاصة بالتنسيق مع السفارات السنغالية.
ومن أبرز شروط المشاركة:
ألا يقل عمر المترشح عن 7 سنوات، وألا يتجاوز 10 سنوات في فرع عشرة أحزاب، و20 سنة في فرع الحفظ الكامل مع التجويد، و40 سنة في فرع الحفظ مع التجويد والتفسير، مع عدم سبق الفوز بالمراتب الأولى في مسابقات مماثلة.
