الولايات المتحدة تقدم 4 ملايين جرعة لقاح لنيجيريا

  • تسلمت نيجيريا اليوم 4 ملايين جرعة من لقاح موديرنا المضاد لفيروس كورونا مقدمة من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وذلك في وقت تواجه فيه البلاد موجة ثالثة من وباء كوفيد-19.
     
    وتعتبر هذه الدفعة الثانية من اللقاحات الموجهة لنيجيريا، بعد تلقيها 4 ملايين جرعة من لقاح أسترازينيكا مارس الماضي بتمويل من آلية “كوفاكس” الرامية لتزويد البلدان منخفضة الدخل باللقاح.
     
    وتم نقل الجرعات الجديدة جوا إلى مطار أبوجا، عاصمة الدولة البالغ عدد سكانها 200 مليون نسمة، وفق ما أفادت وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية.
     
    وبلغت حصيلة كوفيد-19 في نيجيريا 174 ألف إصابة بينها 2149 حالة وفاة، بحسب الأرقام الرسمية.
     
    وتشكك بعض الأطراف في هذه الأرقام، وذلك بفعل قلة اختبارات كشف الإصابة التي يتم إجراؤها.
