وصول 7 آلاف مهاجر إفريقي إلى اليمن في 6 أشهر

أعلنت المنظمة الدولية للهجرة، السبت، وصول 7 آلاف مهاجر إفريقي إلى اليمن، خلال النصف الأول من عام 2020.
وقالت المنظمة في تقرير، إنه “خلال النصف الأول من عام 2020، وصل 7 آلاف مهاجر إلى اليمن، 90 في المئة منهم من إثيوبيا، فيما أغلب البقية من الصومال”.
وأضاف التقرير أن “معظم المهاجرين إلى اليمن، يسافرون على أمل الوصول إلى السعودية، للحصول على حياة أفضل بدلا من مجرد البقاء على قيد الحياة”.
وتابع: “يصل معظم المهاجرين إلى السواحل الجنوبية اليمنية، وخاصة إلى محافظات لحج وشبوة وحضرموت، حيث تعمل الفرق الطبية المتنقلة التابعة للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة”.
ويعد اليمن منذ سنوات طويلة، وجهة لمهاجرين من دول القرن الإفريقي، لا سيما إثيوبيا والصومال، ويهدف العديد منهم للانتقال في رحلتهم الصعبة، إلى دول الخليج، خصوصا السعودية.
ويشهد اليمن، للعام السادس، حربا عنيفة أدت إلى إحدى أسوأ الأزمات الإنسانية بالعالم، حيث بات 80 بالمئة من السكان بحاجة إلى مساعدات إنسانية، ودفع الصراع الملايين إلى حافة المجاعة
