“فارتيما” جاسوس برتغالي في “مكة”

يعتبر الرحالة الايطالي “لودفيكو دي فارتيما” أول أوروبي يصل إلى مكة المكرمة ، ليس حاجا بقدر ما كان جاسوسا للحكومة البرتغالية ، أطلق على نفسه اسم ” الحاج يونس ” ، وقد حددت مهامه في جمع المعلومات عن الأحوال الداخلية في البلاد الإسلامية ، ودراسة النظم الاجتماعية والاقتصادية بها ، لتسهيل الانقضاض عليها .
والقارئ لترجمته يلحظ الكثير من الوقفات في سيرته ، فهو وإن كان أول أوربي غير مسلم زار مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة عام 1503 م ، فإن هناك أسرار وخفايا عنه ، في رحلاته ذكر بعضها الأستاذ / عبد الرحمن عبد الله الشيخ في ترجمته له ، وبقي البعض الآخر مجهولا ، ومنها ما أوضحته بعض المراجع من أن أحد التجار المسلمين الذي يعرف الإيطالية اشتبه في فارتيما ، الذي اعترف له بأصوله الإيطالية ، لكنه كذب عليه وادعى أنه قد أسر وأصبح مملوكا لأحد الأمراء في مصر، وتوسل إليه أن يخبئه في بيته حتى رحيل قافلته إلى الشام وهو ما حدث فعلا .

وذكر أن للمسجد الحرام تسعين بابا، كما وصف الكعبة المشرفة، وذكر أن كسوتها من الحرير الخالص، وأن بابها من الفضة الخالصة، كما ذكر طواف الحجاج بالكعبة ولعله طواف القدوم، وإن كان لم يشر إلى ذلك صراحة.

وقال الدكتور حاتم الطحاوي أستاذ التاريخ في جامعة الزقازيق بمصر ، أن فارتميا استطاع ” رشوة القائد المملوكي لقافلة الحج المتجهة من دمشق إلى بلاد الحجاز، ومنحه القائد حصانا كما سمح له بأن يرتدي لباس المماليك المرافقين لرحلة الحج الشامية التي اتخذت طريقها جنوبا لتعبر الصحراء حتى تصل أولا إلى المدينة المنورة حيث وصف دي فارتيما مسجد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وقبره قبل أن يغادرها مع قافلته متجها إلى مكة المكرمة.

وتعجب فارتيما من أعداد وجنسيات المسلمين الذين وصلوا للحج من الشام ومصر وكذلك من إثيوبيا وبلاد فارس، وكثرتهم لدرجة أنه قال: “الحق أقول لكم إنني لم أر أبدا تجمعا هائلا احتشد في مكان واحد كما رأيت في مكة”،

وعندما دخل فارتيما إلى المسجد الحرام لفت نظره أولا رائحة المسك والروائح العطرية في أرجاء المسجد ، وقال : ” من الصعب أن أصف لكم روعة الروائح التي شممتها في ذلك المسجد “.

واختصر أهم أركان الحج إلى بيت الله الحرام والصعود إلى عرفات فذكر أن الحجاج يتجهون إلى عرفات قبل أن يقوموا بتقديم الأضاحي.

كما تحدث بعد أن أخطأ في ترتيب أيام الحج عن وقفة عرفات وعن الخطبة التي استمرت زهاء الساعة ، وأفاض في الحديث عن يوم النحر وذكر أن كل حاج رجلا كان أم امرأة كان ينحر رأسين أو ثلاثة من الأغنام أو أكثر؛ ولهذا فهو يعتقد أن الحجاج في هذا العام 908 هـ و 1503 م نحروا ما يقرب من ثلاثين ألف رأس ، كما ذكر أن عشرات الآلاف من الفقراء استفادوا من هذه اللحوم.

ولاحظ الحمام الموجود بسلام في مكة المكرمة لدرجة أنه قدر أعداده ما بين 15 – 20 ألفا، فذكر أنه يطير في كافة أرجاء مكة بأمان تام ولا يجرؤ أحد على إيذائه على الرغم من أن الحمام يحدث بعض التلف بالمسجد الحرام” .

وقبل أن يغادر فارتيما مكة المكرمة مارس أيضا دوره الرئيسي وهو التجسس على أحوال مكة الاقتصادية تحت حكم المماليك وذلك عبر طرح بعض الأسئلة المدروسة على ذلك التاجر، فسأله عن الجواهر والبهارات التي تشتهر بها أسواق مكة، وكذلك أين مختلف أنواع السلع والبضائع التي كانت تمتلئ بها أسواق مكة. وكان دي فارتيما يدرك أن الحصار البرتغالي على سواحل الخليج العربي والمحيط الهندي والبحر الأحمر هو السبب في ذلك ولكنه استدرج التاجر المكي الذي أخبره بان حصار ملك البرتغال هو السبب في عدم وصول السلع والبضائع بوفرة إلى أسواق مكة.

ولنترك كلماته تعبر عن ذلك الموقف حيث قال : “عندما أخبرني أن ملك البرتغال هو السبب في ذلك تظاهرت بالحزن العميق وأرسلت فيضا من السباب على ذلك الملك البرتغالي مخافة أن يكتشف التاجر المسلم سعادتي لنجاح المسيحيين في استغلال طريق رأس الرجاء الصالح”.

وخلاصة القول أن فارتيما لم يكن حاجا بقدر ما كان جاسوسا ، أستخدم من قبل البرتغاليين ، لنقل أسرار الدول الاسلامية التي زارها .
