السنغال تعلن شفاء أول مصاب بوباء “جدري القرود”
أكدت وزارة الصحة في السنغال شفاء أول مريض تم تسجيل إصابته بمرض جدري القرود في البلاد يوم 22 أغسطس الماضي بدكار.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن المعني غادر مستشفى “فان” بعد تلقي العلاج اللازم وعزله منذ تأكيد إصابته.
وأضافت السلطات الصحية أن 30 شخصاً كانوا على صلة بالمريض خضعوا للمتابعة الدقيقة دون تسجيل أي حالة مشبوهة، وهو ما يعني عدم تسجيل إصابات نشطة حالياً في السنغال.
وتأتي هذه التطورات بعد أسبوع فقط من الإعلان عن الحالة الأولى، التي أعادت التذكير باستمرار المخاطر في المنطقة، خاصة مع تسجيل إصابة مماثلة في غامبيا منتصف يوليو.
وعلى المستوى القاري، تشير معطيات منظمة الصحة العالمية إلى تراجع ملحوظ في الإصابات، بنسبة 34.5 بالمائة خلال الأسابيع الستة الأخيرة.
ولم تسجل دول عدة مثل كوت ديفوار وأنغولا والغابون وموريشيوس وزيمبابوي أي حالة جديدة منذ أكثر من ستة أسابيع.
ودعت وزارة الصحة السنغالية المواطنين إلى مواصلة اليقظة والالتزام بإجراءات الوقاية، مؤكدة التزامها بضمان الأمن الصحي والتواصل بشفافية حول مستجدات الوضع
