نيجيريا..مسلحون يختطفون 9 أشخاص للحصول على فدية
ختطف مسلحون مجهولون، يوم أمس الجمعة، 9 أشخاص في ولاية “أوندو” شمال غربي نيجيريا، بهدف الحصول على فدية تزيد عن 5 ملايين دولار.
وبحسب أخبار تناقلتها العديد من الصحف المحلية، فقد قام مجهولون في منطقة “إسوا أكوكو” التابعة للولاية المذكورة، بشن هجوم مسلح على حافلة ر كاب كانت في طريقها للعاصمة أبوجا، واختطفوا 9 أشخاص.
وبعد فترة أطلق المسلحون سراح أحد المختطفين ليحمل رسالة منهم تفيد أنهم يحتاجون فدية تقدر بـ100 مليون نيرة(العملة المحلية/ما يعادل أكثر من 5 ملايين دولار) من أجل إطلاق سراح بقية المختطفين.
بدوره قال تي-ليو إيكورو، الناطق باسم شرطة الولاية، إنهم بدءوا مساعيهم من أجل تحرير الأشخاص المختطفين.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن عقوبة الخطف من أجل الحصول على فدية في عدد من الولايات النيجيرية، هي الإعدام، ورغم هذا لم تنجح هذه العقوبة في الحيلولة دون وقوع مثل هذه الحوادث.
والأزمات التي جاءت كنتيجة طبيعية للاشتبكات التي تشهدها البلاد منذ العام 2008 بين رعاة الأغنام والمزارعين، سرعان ما تحولت اعتبارًا من العام 2015 إلى عمليات اختطاف ونهب.
