“نيجيريا” تهدد بالانسحاب من “ايكواس” بسبب التمييز ضد مواطنيها في التوظيف
هدد مسؤولون نيجيريون بانسحاب بلادهم من المجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريقيا “ايكواس”، وذلك وبعد اتهامات بالتمييز ضد المواطنين النيجيريين في الاكتتاب والترقية داخل المجموعة.
وتعتبر نيجيريا عضوا مؤسسا وأكبر الدول المساهمة ماليا في ايكواس، كما تضم العاصمة أبوجا المقر الرئيس للمجموعة التي تتكون من 15 دولة في غرب أفريقيا وتأسست 1975.
وبدأ الحديث عن إمكانية انسحاب نيجيريا من ايكواس حين أرسل موسى نوهو الممثل الدائم لنيجيريا في ايكواس رسالة احتجاج إلى رئيس البرلمان التابع للمجموعة سيدي تونسي، يحتج فيها على “المحسوبية” التي تشهدها عمليات اكتتاب الموظفين في المجموعة.
وعنون نوهو رسالته المؤرخة في 20 يوليو الماضي، بـ”شكاية من المعاملة غير العادلة واعتماد الأشخاص في برلمان ايكواس “، ولم يكشف بعد عن مضمون الرسالة، لكن رئيس البرلمان سيدي تونسي أمر بتعليق جميع عمليات الاكتتاب في البرلمان وتشكيل لجنة تحقيق داخلية حول الموضوع، على أن تعطي نتائجها خلال أسبوع.
وأضاف رئيس البرلمان أنه سيضمن المساواة بين كافة مواطني المجموعة وحقهم في السعي إلى التوظيف في مؤسساتها بما يتوافق مع نظمها وقوانينها.
أما أحمد إدريس وايز نائب رئيس البرلمان النيجيري والذي يشغل منصب نائب رئيس برلمان ايكواس، فدعا إلى انسحاب بلاده من المجموعة، قائلا إنه من الأفضل “مغادرة المجموعة التي نستثمر فيها أموالنا دون تحقيق نتائج، خصوصا أننا نشهد ضعفا في البنى التحتية ونواجه ازمة امنية، متسائلا لماذا نواصل الاستثمار في ما لا يعود علينا بالنفع؟” وفق تعبيره.
وأضاف “نطالب فقط بالعدالة ليس تجاه المواطنين النيجيريين فحسب بل جميع مواطني المجموعة”، متهما دولا لم يسمها بـ”محاولة تسيير ايكواس وفق خططهم الخاصة، لكن ذلك ما لن نسمح به”، وفق تعبير المسؤولي النيجيري.
واتهامات المسؤولين النيجيريين لم ترق لرئيس الفرقة البرلمانية الليبيرية في برلمان السيدياو إيدوين اسنو، الذي قال إن “أصحاب هذه الادعاءات يريدون فقط حشد دعم النيجيريين قبيل الانتخابات.
وتابع “أفهم أن إخوتنا مقدمون على انتخابات، ويعملون من أجل إقناع ناخبيهم النيجيريين أنهم يدافعون عن مصالحهم، لكننا لن نقبل أن يستخدم البرلمان كمنصة لإعادة انتخاب السياسيين”.
واتهم المسؤول الليبيري البرلمانيين النيجيريين بتحريف الحقائق، مؤكدا أن ايكواس مؤسسة على التضامن، وادعاءات النيجيريين تتنافى مع مخرجات الجلسات العلنية للبرلمان، وفق تعبيره.
وتسعى المجموعة التي تأسست عام 1975، إلى تعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي بين الدول الأعضاء (15 دولة)، حيث يبلغ إجمالي سكان الدول الأعضاء 450 مليون.
