بلغ عدد خطوط الهواتف المحمولة في السنغال، ، 17،948،492 في الربع الأول من عام 2020 وهي دولة يبلغ عدد سكانها 15 مليون نسمة، وفقًا لمرصد الهواتف المحمولة بهيئة تنظيم الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية(ARTP) زاد هذا عدد الخطوط الهاتفية بنسبة 5.72٪ مقارنة بالربع الأول من عام 2019 عندما استقر عند 16977104 خطا.

تشير بيانات ARTP إلى إلى أن حصة الخطوط المدفوعة مسبقًا بلغت 17،705،489 (+ 0.36٪ مقارنة بالربع الرابع 2019) مقابل 243،003 (+ 2.18٪) حتى 31 مارس 2020. وارتفع معدل استخدام الهاتف المحمول في السنغال (النسبة بين إجمالي عدد خطوط الهاتف المحمول وتلك الخاصة بالسكان) هي 110.73٪ في 31 مارس 2020 مقارنة بـ 110.31٪ في 31 ديسمبر 2019 و 107.95٪ في مارس 2019 يبلغ معدل الاختراق 109.23٪ للمدفوعات المسبقة و 1.50٪ للمدفوعات الآجلة.
كما زاد حجم الاتصالات المرسلة خلال الربع قيد الدراسة حيث بلغ: 2.281 مليار دقيقة تراكمية مقابل 2.037 مليار دقيقة متراكمة في الربع السابق. وفقًا لـ ARTP ، يبلغ المعدل الشهري في متوسط استخدام الاتصال الهانفي الصادر لكل خط 127 دقيقة مقارنة بـ 102 دقيقة في ديسمبر 2019. بالنسبة للرسائل النصية القصيرة، تُقدر حركة المرور بـ 370.5 مليون تراكمي خلال الربع الأول من عام 2020 مقابل 377.3 مليون في ديسمبر 2019 ، بانخفاض 0.58٪. متوسط الاستخدام الشهري الصادر لكل خط هو 21 رسالة نصية ، وهو نفس الرقم في نهاية الربع الأخير من عام 2019 ، بفارق وحدة واحدة أقل من الربع الأول من عام 2019. وبشكل إجمالي يقضي كل شخص سنغالي 78 دقيقة يوميًا على الهاتف.
