ووفقًا لمصادر حصرية لموقع Seneweb، فإن جوب مثُل أمام لجنة التحقيق التابعة للمحكمة العليا، في إطار ملف صندوق مكافحة جائحة كوفيد-19، حيث يُشتبه في تورّطه في اختلاس مبلغ ضخم قدره 930 مليون فرنك إفريقي، خصص لاقتناء كمامات واقية خلال ذروة تفشي الجائحة.
مصطفى جوب لم يكن أول مسؤول يسقط في قبضة العدالة بسبب هذا الملف. فقد سبقته إلى السجن ندى أميناتا لوم نداي، المديرة السابقة للإدارة العامة والتجهيز في وزارته، والتي تواجه التهم نفسها، بعد أن وجه لها قاضي التحقيق بالمحكمة الثانية في دكار لائحة اتهام رسمية
