في اطار جهود المجموعة الافريقية لتطوير الإعلام GAEC ، التي تسعى إليها هذه المؤسسة لتعزيز التعاون المشترك مع دول المنطقة ، اختير أحد ابناء البلاد الذين تركوا بصمات في تاريخ نقابات المعلمين والاساتذة في السنغال ، لمنحه هذه الدرجة العالية (دكتوراه الفخرية ) التي استحقها الأخ سورو سين كنقابي بارز ، لعب دورا رياديا في دفع عجلة التربية والتعليم لمرحلتي المتوسط والثانوي إلى الأمام في عهد الرئيس ماكي سال ، بوضع خارطة استراتيجية لفض النزاعات والاختلالات المتعلق بالتربية مع الاطراف المعنية من بينها قادة الفكر والزوايا الدينية ، والقيادات السياسية لايجاد حلول ناجعة من أجل التعليم.
بالاضافة إلى الجهود المشكورة التي لايزال يبذلها دائما لتوعية السلك التعليمي والجهات الاخرى ، باعتبارها مزايا لصالح المنظومة التربوية في إفريقيا قاطبة.
وهو من الشخصيات البارزة المتميزة في الحقل التربوي في عموم البلاد حيث اصبح رمزا ذائع الصيت انتشر صداه في مختلف المؤسسات الدولية والاقليمية.
