أشرف وزير الداخلية والأمن العام شخصيًا على عملية مشتركة بين الشرطة والدرك في مقاطعة مباكي. وشهدت هذه العملية، التي حشدت مئات من عناصر الدرك والشرطة، حضورًا من السلطات الإدارية، وقائد الدرك الإقليمي، ونائب مدير الأمن العام، وقادة وحدات مختلفة من منطقة جوربيل .
وزار الوزير التقاطع القريب من محطة وقود غيدي أويل (إلتون سابقًا)، ودوار مهبط الطائرات المروحية، ودوار القاهرة ، وتقاطع طوبى فال. وفي الميدان، خارج نقاط التفتيش، استمرت الدوريات الآلية والراجلة حتى الفجر. وسيتم نشر نتائج العمليات على منصات الشرطة والدرك.
