عملا بتعاليم رسول الله سيدنا محمد صلى اللهَ عليه وسلم في هذا الحديث الشريف ،انطلقت أوقاف الشيخ خليل عبد الله ماريغا الخيرية برئاسة الشيخ عبد الله ماريغا نحو دعوة المسلمين والمواطنين جميعا في الداخل والخارج لجمع مساعدات عاجلة وتبرعات لإغاثة النازحين والمتضررين بالفيضانات في شمال وشمال شرق السنغال ،
الذين خسروا منازلهم وقضت المياه على مساكنهم ومساجدهم ومدارسهم ،فأصبحوا بلا غذاء ولا كساء ولا دواء .
وأمام الصحافة الوطنية ، وبالتعاون مع مؤسسة والفجر الإعلامية تم بث هذه الحملة الإنسانية مباشرة على قناة والفجر
وكما بين الصحفي المحرر ثيارنو بشير صو في تقرير سابق عن الوضع الكارثي في منطقة “باكل “والقرى المجاورة لها ” أن الأوضاع في قرية بيلي جالو تفاقمت بسبب فيضان نهر السنغال حيث اجتاحت المياة المنازل ،وأجبرت مئات العائلات على الفرار ليلا ، تاركين خلفهم كل ما يملكون ،ولجأ السكان للإحتماء تحت الأشجار ،منتظرين نصب خيام مؤقتة لحمايتهم من الرياح العاتية والأمطار ، ويحاول شباب المنطقة إنقاذ ما تبقى من الأمتعة ،ويواجهون متاعب ومعاناة يومية وسط انهيار بعض المنازل “.
