هذه هي قصة هذه الذكرى التى يحتفل بها المسلمون في السنغال هذا اليوم ، وأعتقد أنه ينبغي قراءة حياة هذا البطل الاسلامي قراءة جديدة لتسليط الضوء على نجاحه في قهر العدو المستعمر دون استخدام السلاح أو اللجوء الى الانتقام منه ..
وتمسكه بتعاليم الله تعالى وسنته رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيئة تملأه الجاهلية والوثنية ..وزهده في متاع الدنيا
وانصرافه عن ملذات الدنيا ، وابتعاده عن كل ما يقبل عليه الناس من الاغراءات المادية المزيفة والذي جسده في بيته المشهور :
