وكالة أممية تسعى لتعبئة 205 ملايين دولار لمساعدة 1.6 مليون نازح في أثيوبيا
دعت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لشؤون اللاجئين إلى تعبئة مبلغ 205 مليون دولار أمريكي، لضمان مساعدة وحماية منقذتين للأرواح لصالح أكثر من 1.6 مليون شخص نزحوا عن ديارهم بفعل النزاع الدائر في شمال أثيوبيا.
وأثار 16 شهرا من الصراع في شمال أثيوبيا أزمة إنسانية أدت إلى تهجير أعداد من المدنيين، بينهم لاجئون ونازحون، وسط تقارير عن أعمال عنف على أساس النوع الاجتماعي وانتهاكات لحقوق الإنسان، وفقدان للمأوى والخدمات الأساسية، ومستويات حرجة لانعدام الأمن الغذائي.
وكشفت المتحدثة باسم المفوضية الأممية، شابيا مانتو، في تصريحات صحفية بجنيف، أن أكثر من مليوني أثيوبي نزحوا عن ديارهم بحثا عن الأمن داخل البلاد، فيما عبر قرابة 60 ألفا الحدود، لاجئين إلى السودان.
كما هوجمت عدة مخيمات ومستوطنات تستقبل لاجئين إريترييين أو تم تدميرها، ما أدى إلى نزوح عشرات آلاف الأشخاص الآخرين داخل أثيوبيا.
وصرحت مانتو أن “الموارد المستهدف تعبئتها ستسمح بتأمين الحماية الأساسية والمساعدة الإنسانية للمتضررين من العنف. وستتم مساعدة ما لا يقل عن 60000 أسرة نازحة بالمأوى ومواد الإغاثة العاجلة”.
وأعلنت مفوضية شؤون اللاجئين عن تخصيص 117 من الـ205 ملايين دولار أمريكي المستهدفة لدعم احتياجات النازحين الأثيوبيين واللاجئين الإريتريين في أقاليم أفار، وأمهرة، وتيغراي بأثيوبيا، و72 مليون دولار لمساعدة ودعم اللاجئين الأثيوبيين في السودان.
كما ستخصص المفوضية 16 مليون دولار أمريكي لجانب التأهب، في إطار تدابير الطوارئ تحسبا لأي تدفق محتمل للاجئين إلى البلدان المجاورة جيبوتي، وكينيا، والصومال، وجنوب السودان.
