هايتي: 29 قتيلا على الأقل وأضرار “فادحة” جراء زلزال

لقي 29 شخصا على الأقل مصرعهم، السبت، جراء زلزال بقوة 7.2 درجات على مقياس ريختر ضرب سواحل هايتي.
وذكرت إدارة الدفاع المدني، في بيان، أن “الزلزال المدمر أسفر عن مصرع 29 شخصاً على الأقل وتسبب بأضرار فادحة”، بحسب “أسوشيتد برس” الأمريكية.
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، قال مركز الأبحاث الجيولوجية الأمريكي، إن زلزالا بقوة 7.2 درجات، وقع على بعد 12 كم شمال شرق مدينة “سان جان دو سود” بهايتي.
وأردف أن “الزلزال وقع على عمق 10 كم تحت سطح الأرض، محذرا من وقوع تسونامي عقب الزلزال”.
