غامبيا : الرئيس “بارو ” يضع حجر الأساس لمشروع طريق جديد تمهيداً لقمة “التعاون الإسلامي”

وضع الرئيس آدم بارو حجر الأساس لإنشاء 20 طريقًا في منطقة بانجول الكبرى، في إطار تطوير البنية التحتية، تمهيدا لقمة مؤتمر التعاون الاسلامي التي ستستضيفها غامبيا العام القادم.

في احتفال كبير أقيم بهذه المناسبة في بروفوت اليوم الأربعاء ، أكد الرئيس على أن “تطوير هذه الطرق من شأنه حل مشاكل طلاب المدارس والمرضى ورجال الأعمال والعديد من المسافرين “.

وأضاف الرئيس: “من خلال مثل هذه المشاريع، سيتم تسهيل الوصول إلى المدارس والمستشفيات والمرافق والخدمات الاجتماعية الأخرى تدريجياً في جميع أنحاء البلاد”.

وفقًا للرئيس بارو ، “سنتذكر جميعًا هذه المناسبة باعتبارها “معلمًا رئيسيًا آخر في عملية تطوير البنية التحتية اللازمة للاستضافة الناجحة لقمة منظمة التعاون الإسلامي في عام 2022”.

وتابع الرئيس قائلًا : “هذه المناسبة تعزز آمالنا بشكل مضاعف من أجل طريق سريع أفضل وحديث وشبكة طرق مستدامة لتسهيل الحركة والأنشطة الاقتصادية داخل منطقة بانجول الكبرى ومنطقة الساحل الغربي..

“عند اكتماله ، سيؤدي المشروع إلى توسيع شبكة الطرق الحضرية بشكل حيوي لاستيعاب الحجم المتزايد لحركة المرور على الطرق ، وتلبية الحاجة إلى تدابير أكثر فعالية للسلامة على الطرق وإنشاء نظام تصريف فعال داخل منطقة بانجول الكبرى. من الواضح أن إنشاء طرق جيدة ، حيث تشتد الحاجة إليها ، يمكن أن يعزز الأنشطة التجارية ويحسن صورة المناطق الحضرية “.
