وقع وزير الخارجية الدكتور “مامدو تانغارا” وسفير جمهورية الصين الشعبية لدى غامبيا يوم الجمعة 5 نوفمبر 2021 اتفاقية تعاون إقتصادي وفني بقيمة 1.2 مليار دلس.
اتفاقية التعاون الموقعة هي منحة من الحكومة الصينية تهدف إلى تغطية المجالات ذات الأولوية الحاسمة للتنمية الإقتصادية في غامبيا.

وقال وزير الخارجية” تانغارا” : “نحن نؤمن كمسألة مبدأ واحترام للقانون الدولي بأنه لا توجد سوى صين واحدة”.
وقال الوزير” تانغارا” أنه نتيجة للعلاقات الممتازة التي تطورت على مر السنين ، استفادت غامبيا في مجالات التعليم من خلال تقديم المنح الدراسية وبرامج التدريب والزراعة والتعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري من خلال مشاريع تطوير البنية التحتية والثقافة والصحة والمرافق.
وجدد الدكتور “تانغارا ” التزام غامبيا بمبادئ المساواة والمنفعة المتبادلة واحترام وحدة أراضي وسيادة كل منهما مع الإعراب عن امتنانه لتضامن الصين المستمر واحترامها ودعمها لأفريقيا خاصة خلال ذروة جائحة كوفيد -19.
