غامبيا : الانتخابات الرئاسية في 4 ديسمبر من العام المقبل

أعلنت اللجنة الإنتخابية المستقلة في غامبيا أن الإنتخابات الرئاسية ستجرى في غامبيا في 4 ديسمبر 2021، وذلك بموجب القوانين الحالية وغيرها إذا لم تحدث أي تغييرات.
وتبدأ العملية بتسجيل عام للناخبين اعتباراً من 14 يناير إلى 26 فبراير 2021 ، في حين سيتم تدقيق سجل الناخبين المؤقت من 15 إلى 24 مارس ، وتقديم أي اعتراضات واستئنافات من 15 إلى 28 مارس 2021.
من جانبها ، ستقوم المحاكم بالبت في الطعون والاعتراضات من 5 أبريل – 3 يونيو، 2021.
وللمرة الأولى في تاريخ البلاد، سيتم السماح للمواطنين الغامبيين المغتربين بالمشاركة في الانتخابات ، ومن ثم سيبدأ تسجيلهم كناخبين اعتباراً من 1 إلى 31 يوليو 2021.
من ناحية أخرى، من المقرر أن يجري الاستفتاء الدستوري في 5 يونيو 2021.
وفقًا للجنة الإنتخابية المستقلة، ستجرى الترشيحات للإنتخابات الرئاسية في الفترة من 30 أكتوبر – 5 نوفمبر 2021 ، بينما سيكون اليوم الأخير لسحب الترشيحات في 26 نوفمبر 2021.
وفي السياق ذاته ، سوف تُجرى حملة الإنتخابات الرئاسية من 9 نوفمبر إلى 2 ديسمبر ، وذلك قبل يومين من الإنتخابات المقررة إجراؤها في 4 ديسمبر2021 .
