ساحل العاج: الحسن واتارا يتصدر نتيجة الانتخابات و 5 قتلى خلال اشتباكات قبيْل التصويت

أظهرت النتائج الرسمية الأولية أن رئيس ساحل العاج الحسن واتارا متقدم في محاولته الحصول على ولاية ثالثة إذ فاز بجميع مناطق التصويت العشرين التي أعلنت عنها اللجنة الانتخابية يوم الأحد 1 نوفمبر 2020.

وحصل واتارا (78 عاما) على 99 في المئة من الأصوات في ثماني مناطق أعلن عنها أمس السبت ومعظمها معاقل للحزب الحاكم. وهناك 108 مناطق انتخابية إجمالا ومن المتوقع إعلان المزيد من النتائج مساء يوم الأحد.

ومن المتوقع أن يفوز الرئيس بإعادة انتخابه بعد أن دعا خصومه إلى مقاطعة التصويت احتجاجا على ما يقولون إنها محاولته غير القانونية للتمسك بالسلطة.

وتقول المعارضة إن الدستور يقيد الرئاسة بفترتين ويقول واتارا إن إقرار دستور جديد في 2016 سمح له بالترشح من جديد.

وأدى الخلاف إلى أعمال عنف في الفترة التي سبقت الانتخابات قتل فيها ما لا يقل عن 30 شخصا. وقال مسؤولون إن خمسة آخرين على الأقل قتلوا يوم السبت 31 أكتوبر2020.

لكن البلاد نجت من اشتباكات واسعة النطاق كان يخشى كثيرون من اندلاعها أثناء التصويت.
