أعلنت الوزارة الأولى في بيان نشرته اليوم الأربعاء (7 يناير 2026م) أن رئيس الوزراء الموريتاني (المختار ولد اجاي) سيجري زيارة عمل رسمية في السنغال يومي 8 و9 يناير 2026م.
ومن المنتظر أن يرافقه في الزيارة وفد حكومي رفيع المستوى، يضم عدداً من الوزراء وكبار المسؤولين، لبحث ملفات التعاون المشترك وتعزيز علاقات الشراكة بين البلدين، خصوصا في مجالات؛ الأمن ومكافحة الجريمة العابرة للحدود، والهجرة غير الشرعية.
وقالت الوزارة الأولى في البيان نفسه: إن هذه الزيارة تكتسب أهمية رمزية بالغة، إذ ستتيح الفرصة لرئيس الوزراء السنغالي (سونكو) ونظيره الموريتاني فرصة بحث أطر العلاقات التعاونية بين دكار ونواكشوط، ووضع خطة عملية مشتركة فتح آفاق جديدة لتعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين البلدين في مختلف القطاعات الحيوية.
