داكار: القوات الفرنسية تنهي وجودها العسكري في السنغال
تنهي فرنسا، اليوم الخميس، وجودها العسكري الدائم في السنغال، في حفل رسمي في العاصمة داكار، لتسليم آخر القواعد العسكرية الفرنسية، وعلى رأسها “معسكر جييل”، إلى السلطات السنغالية.
جاء هذا الانسحاب بعد مسار بدأ في مارس الماضي، وتم خلاله تسليم عدد من القواعد العسكرية التي كانت القوات الفرنسية تستخدمها منذ عقود.
وتنهي الخطوة وجود القوات الفرنسية في السنغال الذي بدأ منذ استقلالها عام 1960، بموجب اتفاقيات دفاع وتعاون مشتركة، قبل أن تتحول مهامها بعد 2012 إلى التدريب والدعم غير القتالي
وشملت القوة الفرنسية في السنغال حوالي 350 جنديا ضمن وحدة “عناصر فرنسا في السنغال”.
وكان الرئيس السنغالي باسيرو جوماي فاي قد اكد -في وقت سابق- أن بلاده تسعى إلى تطوير علاقات متوازنة مع جميع الشركاء، وأن السيادة الوطنية لا تتوافق مع وجود قواعد عسكرية أجنبية. واعتبر أن الخطوة لا تعني قطيعة مع فرنسا، بل تؤسس لـ”شراكة متجددة”.
يأتي الانسحاب في سياق أوسع يشهد تراجعا للنفوذ العسكري الفرنسي في أفريقيا، في ظل رفض متزايد للوجود الأجنبي، خاصة بعد صعود أنظمة عسكرية في دول الساحل.
ويشكل الحلقة الأخيرة من سلسلة انسحابات فرنسية من دول غرب ووسط أفريقيا منذ 2022، شملت مالي، بوركينا فاسو، النيجر، تشاد والغابون
