الرئيس بشير جوماي فاي يطلق مشروع PROMOREN لتعزيز السيادة المائية والزراعية في كونغيل
أطلق رئيس السنغال، بشير جوماي فاي، اليوم 21 فبراير 2025 في كونغيل، أشغال مشروع تعبئة الموارد المائية لنهر نيانيا بولونغ (PROMOREN)، الذي يهدف إلى تعبئة 46.6 مليون متر مكعب من المياه العذبة سنويًا، ومنع تسرب المياه المالحة من نهر غامبيا، واستصلاح 12 ألف هكتار من الأراضي الزراعية. وتبلغ تكلفة المشروع 36 مليار فرنك إفريقي، بتمويل 92% من البنك الإسلامي للتنمية و8% من الدولة السنغالية.
وخلال كلمته أمام الحشود، شدد الرئيس فاي على أهمية هذا المشروع في تحقيق السيادة الغذائية والتنمية الاقتصادية، مؤكداً التزامه بتقليص الفجوات الاجتماعية والإقليمية، وتعزيز العدالة في توزيع الموارد، خاصة لصالح الشباب والنساء.
يأتي مشروع PROMOREN ضمن جهود تحول القطاع الزراعي في إطار رؤية السنغال 2050، ويتكامل مع مشاريع استراتيجية أخرى، مثل سد سامبانغالو على نهر غامبيا، الذي يهدف إلى ري 40 ألف هكتار من الأراضي. ومن المتوقع أن يسهم المشروع في خلق 36 ألف وظيفة مباشرة، بالإضافة إلى فرص اقتصادية غير مباشرة.
