وجاء القرار عقب سلسلة من الجدل الذي أثارته تصريحات جانج الأخيرة، التي وصف فيها الجنود السنغاليين المعروفين بـ”التيرايور” بالخونة، مما أثار استياءً واسعاً في الأوساط الشعبية والسياسية.
وتم تعيين باب تيون جانج خلفاً له، وهو خبير اقتصادي يحمل شهادة الدراسات المعمقة (DEA) في الاقتصاد، بالإضافة إلى دبلوم محاسبة متقدم (DSC)، مما يعكس التوجه نحو تعزيز الكفاءة المهنية في المناصب الحساسة داخل الرئاسة.
