إثيوبيا تعترض على انتقادات مدير منظمة الصحة العالمية.
بعثت حكومة إثيوبيا برسالة إلى منظمة الصحة العالمية تتهم فيها مديرها العام الإثيوبي ”بسوء السلوك” بعد انتقاداته الشديدة للحرب والأزمة الإنسانية في البلاد.
ورشحت إثيوبيا تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس لمنصب مدير وكالة الصحة التابعة للأمم المتحدة قبل 4 سنوات، لكنها تقول إنه ”لم يرق إلى مستوى النزاهة والتوقعات المهنية المطلوبة من منصبه”، متهمة إياه بالتدخل في الشؤون الداخلية لإثيوبيا، وفقا لـبيان صحفي صدر في وقت متأخر من يوم الخميس.
وقالت وزارة الخارجية الإثيوبية ”من خلال أفعاله، نشر تيدروس معلومات خاطئة وأضر بسمعة منظمة الصحة العالمية واستقلالها ومصداقيتها”.
ولم يصدر عن منظمة الصحة العالمية رد فوري على هذه المزاعم.
وأعرب تيدروس، وهو من عرقية التيجراي، مرارا عن أسفه للوضع في بلاده، ودعا إلى وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى الإقليم الذي يمزقه الصراع في إثيوبيا.
وقال تيدروس في إفادة إعلامية يوم الأربعاء ”لا يوجد مكان في العالم نشهد فيه مثل هذا الجحيم في تيجراي”. واستشهد برسالة تلقتها منظمة الصحة العالمية مؤخرا من طبيب في الإقليم، والذي قال إن الأدوية الأساسية لأمراض مثل مرض السكري نفدت في يونيو، وإن السلطات الصحية تستخدم الآن مخزونات منتهية الصلاحية.
وأدان تيدروس الحصار الذي تفرضه إثيوبيا على تيجراي، قائلا إن منظمة الصحة العالمية لم يسمح لها بإرسال أي إمدادات إلى الإقليم منذ يوليو، مشيرا إلى أن الوكالة التابعة للأمم المتحدة كان بمقدورها الوصول إلى سوريا واليمن حتى خلال أسوأ نزاعاتهما.
وقال إنه يجب أن يكون هناك وصول ”غير مقيد” للمساعدات الإنسانية إلى تيجراي، وقال إن ”مجرد احترام النظام الدستوري من شأنه إيجاد حل سلمي لهذه المشكلة ”.
