وفي كلمة ألقاها مساء السبت بمؤتمر الحزب الجمهوري في ولاية كارولاينا الشمالية، اعتبر ترامب أن الولايات المتحدة تنهار في ظل إدارة بايدن، وقال: “بينما نجتمع هنا اليوم، تتعرض بلادنا للدمار أمام أعيننا. الجريمة آخذة في الازدياد، وإدارات الشرطة ممزقة، وتعاني من نقص التمويل”.
وجدد ترامب اتهامه للديمقراطيين بتزوير الانتخابات الرئاسية وقال إنه “كان يحاول إنقاذ الديمقراطية”.
وقال ترامب إن إدارته “أوقفت الحروب اللانهائية” في العراق وسوريا والصومال وأفغانستان، وذلك بتقليض عدد القوات الأمريكية هناك.
وانتقد الرئيس الأمريكي السابق تحقيقا جنائيا يجريه بحقه مكتب النائب العام في نيويورك، ووصفه بأنه أحدث محاولة من الديمقراطيين لإسقاطه، و”حملة صليبية” يخوضها الادعاء ضده لدوافع سياسية.
وألمح ترامب أيضا إلى اعتزامه الترشح للانتخابات الرئاسية المقبلة في 2024 قائلا إنه يتطلع لذلك العام، فيما يقول مستشارون لترامب إنه يبحث إمكانية تنظيم حملة رئاسية أخرى.
كورونا والصين
وانضم ترامب إلى مجموعة من الساسة الجمهوريين الذين ينتقدون خبير الأمراض المعدية الأمريكي أنتوني فاوتشي بشأن تعامله مع وباء كورونا، بما في ذلك دعوته للأمريكيين بوضع الكمامات للوقاية من الفيروس، والذي شكك في بعض الأحيان في نظرية تقول إن كورونا خرج من مختبر بمدينة ووهان الصينية.

وفيما يتعلق بالسياسة الخارجية، وصف ترامب الهجمات السيبرانية التي تتعرض لها بلاده، بأنها تعبير عن قلة الاحترام للولايات المتحدة وقادتها”، دون أن يوجه إصبع الاتهام إلى أي دولة محددة.
وندد بقرار بايدن العودة إلى اتفاق باريس للمناخ، ووصف الخطوة بأنها “صفقة رهيبة.. تقضي على الوظائف” وأنها “تصب في مصلحة الصين وروسيا وتخالف مصلحة الولايات المتحدة وستكلفها تريليونات الدولارات سنويا”.
كما اتهم ترامب بايدن بأنه “سمح” لروسيا باستكمال بناء خط أنابيب الغاز “السيل الشمالي-2”.
وقال: “والآن يضحك على بايدن علنا المفاوضون الصينيون والرئيس الروسي بوتين. إنهم يسخرون منه ويهينون بلدنا”.
وتأتي تصريحات ترامب قبل أيام من لقاء القمة الذي سيجمع بوتين وبايدن في جنيف في 16 يونيو الحالي.
