أصبح عامل منجم تنزاني يبلغ من العمر 52 عاما، مليونيرا بين عشية وضحاها، عن طريق بيع اثنين من الأحجار الكريمة غير المقطوعة (الخام) تزنان 33 رطلا.
وقال صاحب الحظ السعيد، العامل الجيولوجي المحلي، سانينو لايزر، لهيئة الإذاعة البريطانية “بي بي سي”، إن القطعتين كانتا من حجر التنزانيت، وهو من أندر الأحجار الكريمة، ومن المتوقع أن ينفد الإمداد العالمي منها في السنوات العشرين المقبلة.
أضاف لايزر، الذي لديه 4 زوجات وأكثر من 30 طفلا، أنه يعتزم الاحتفال، وذبح بقرة، وعمل وليمة.
وأشار إلى أنه يخطط لاستثمار ثروته المكتسبة حديثا في مجتمعه، منطقة سيمانجيرو في تنزانيا، من خلال بناء مدرسة للأطفال المحليين ومركز تسوق.
وقال: “أريد بناء هذه المدرسة بالقرب من منزلي.. هناك العديد من الفقراء هنا، ولا يستطيعون تحمل نفقات ذهاب أطفالهم للمدرسة”.
وتابع: “أنا لست متعلما، لكني أحب أن تسير الأمور بطريقة مهنية، لذا أود أن يدير أطفالي العمل باحتراف”.
وأعطت الحكومة التنزانية للايزر شيكا قيمته 7.74 مليار شلن تنزاني، ما يعادل 3.35 مليون دولار أمريكي، وقد استخرج الأحجار الكريمة الزرقاء البنفسجية من مناجم تنزانيا الشمالية، المحاطة بجدار لمنع التهريب عبر الحدود.
والحجران اللذان وجدهما لايزر يزن أحدهما 9.2 كغم والآخر 5.8 كغم. وقبل أن يجد هذين الحجرين بلغ وزن أكبر جوهرة تنزانية تم استخراجها في البلاد 3.3 كغم.
