مجموعة البنك الإسلامي للتنمية وجمهورية السنغال تعززان أوجه التعاون

التقى رئيس البنك الإسلامي للتنمية الدكتور محمد الجاسر، بسفير السنغال لدى المملكة العربية السعودية الدكتور مامودو سال.
وناقش الجانبان العلاقات الثنائية ومراجعة التعاون بين مجموعة البنك الإسلامي للتنمية وجمهورية السنغال، حيث تجاوزت مداخلات مجموعة البنك منذ إنشائها 4.11 مليار دولار أمريكي، ويشمل هذا المبلغ 2.50 مليار دولار أمريكي لتمويل المشروع من قبل البنك الإسلامي للتنمية، و 171.40 مليون دولار أمريكي تمت الموافقة عليها من قبل المؤسسة الإسلامية لتنمية القطاع الخاص (ICD)، و 1.13 مليار دولار أمريكي لعمليات تجارية من قبل المؤسسة الدولية الإسلامية لتمويل التجارة (ITFC)، و312.10 مليون دولار أمريكي من صناديق وعمليات مجموعة البنك الإسلامي للتنمية الأخرى.
كما قدمت المؤسسة الإسلامية لتأمين الاستثمار وائتمان الصادرات (ICIEC) 3.1 مليار دولار أمريكي كتأمين للأعمال و1.9 مليار دولار أمريكي كالتزامات تأمين جديدة.
وقال الدكتور الجاسر: “لقد كان تعاوننا ينمو بشكل مرضٍ ويسعدني أن أبلغكم أننا نتطلع إلى تعاون أقوى وأكثر قوة مع جمهورية السنغال”، مؤكداً على حافظة البنك النشطة في السنغال واستعداد مجموعة البنك لمواصلة التعامل مع السنغال في مجالات الأولوية الإستراتيجية.
من جانبه، أشاد السفير السنغالي بالتعاون بين بلاده ومجموعة البنك الإسلامي للتنمية، مشيداً بجهودها التمويلية تجاه السنغال، مقدماً في الوقت ذاته شكره لمجموعة البنك على دعمها للسنغال في التعامل مع جائحة كورونا كوفيد -19، وتقدير بلاده لـ 133 مليون دولار أمريكي التي قدمتها مجموعة البنك الإسلامي للتنمية لمشروع معهد باستير (الكشف والوقاية)، لبناء القدرات في قطاع الصحة وتوزيع سلال الغذاء.
يذكر أن البنك الإسلامي للتنمية يقف على استعداد لدعم جهود الحكومة، ويقوم حاليًا بمعالجة طلب الحكومة للتعاون في قطاع الزراعة من خلال مشروع تعبئة موارد مستجمعات المياه في نيانيجا بولونج ومشروع خصوبة التربة؛ وقطاع المياه والصرف الصحي من خلال مشروع إدارة مياه الأمطار والتكيف مع تغير المناخ؛ والمؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة في إطار مشروع مسار استعادة الاستعداد والاستجابة الإستراتيجي (SPRP).
