رحّب فضيلة الشيخ أبو بكر أحمد، مفتي الديار الهندية، بالموقف المشرّف الذي أعلنته الهند في الأمم المتحدة بدعمها القوي لقيام دولة فلسطينية مستقلة، مؤكداً أن هذا الموقف ينسجم مع القيم الإنسانية العادلة ومع التقاليد التاريخية للهند في الوقوف إلى جانب قضايا الشعوب المظلومة.
وقال فضيلته إنّ تصويت الهند مع غالبية الدول العالَمية لصالح الاعتراف بفلسطين المستقلة قرار حكيم وجدير بالترحيب، لما يحمله من دلالات واضحة على حرص الهند على العدالة والسلام العالمي، ووقوفها في صف الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، الذي يرزح منذ عقود تحت الاحتلال والحرمان من أبسط حقوقه.
وأشار فضيلته إلى أنّ هذه الخطوة ليست مجرد موقف سياسي، بل هي رسالة أخلاقية وحضارية تعكس صورة الهند كدولة كبرى تؤمن بالسلام، وترفض الظلم، وتدعو إلى الحوار والعيش المشترك. كما دعا فضيلته المجتمع الدولي إلى التحرّك الفعّال لإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، ووقف الاعتداءات المتكررة على الشعب الفلسطيني، وتمكينه من إقامة دولته المستقلة على أرضه وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وأضاف مفتي الديار الهندية أنّ القضية الفلسطينية ليست قضية الفلسطينيين وحدهم، بل هي قضية إنسانية وأممية تمس الضمير العالمي، وأنّ استمرار الظلم والقتل في الأراضي الفلسطينية يهدد الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة والعالم بأسره.
وختم فضيلته بيانه بالدعاء أن يعمّ السلام العادل أرض فلسطين، وأن تثمر هذه القرارات الدولية في إقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة ذات سيادة كاملة، تحفظ الكرامة الإنسانية وتحقق العدالة المنشودة.
