خرج آلاف النيجريين اليوم الخميس في مظاهرات مؤيدة للمجلس العسكري الذي أطاح بالرئيس المدني المنتخب بازوم، تزامنا مع الذكرى ال63 لاستقلال البلاد عن فرنسا.
ورفع بعض المتظاهرين صورا لرئيس المجلس العسكري الجنرال عبد اارحمن تياني، وشعارات مناهضة لفرنسا، وتدعوها للخروج من البلاد، وأخرى ضد المجموعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب إفريقيا.
وخلال المظاهرات التي دعت لها حركة “أم 62″، وانتهت بتجمع استمر زهاء ساعتين أمام مقر البرلمان في نيامي، تم التوليح بالأعلام الروسية.
وبالتزامن مع ذكرى استقلال البلاد، قال الجنرال عبد الرحمن تياني رئيس المجلس العسكري الحاكم في النيجر، إن بلاده “لن تخضع للضغوط الإقليمية والدولية لإعادة محمد بازوم إلى السلطة”.
ووصف تياني في خطاب ألقاه مساء أمس عبر التلفزيون الرسمي النيجري، العقوبات المفروضة على بلاده من طرف “إيكواس” بأنها “غير قانونية وغير عادلة وغير إنسانية”.
وضمن أحدث ردود الفعل الإقليمية على الانقلاب في النيجر، أكد رؤساء أركان الدول الأعضاء ب”إيكواس” أنهم عازمون استعادة الديمقراطية في النيجر “مهما بلغت التحديات”.
وعلى الصعيد الدولي، دعا اليوم الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن إلى الإفراج الفوري عن الرئيس النيجري المعزول محمد بازوم، المطاح به عبر انقلاب عسكري منذ أكثر من أسبوع.
وحث بايدن في بيان صادر عنه على “الحفاظ على الديمقراطية التي تحققت بشق الأنفس في النيجر”، وعلى ضرورة الإفراج العاجل عن بازوم وعائلته.
