شارك الصندوق السعودي للتنمية، أمس، في مراسم افتتاح مشروع إعادة تأهيل طريق تامبكوندا – قوديري في جمهورية السنغال، الذي أسهم الصندوق في تمويله بقرض تنموي ميسّر بقيمة إجمالية تقدّر بـ (30) مليون دولار، برعاية فخامة الرئيس ماكي سال رئيس جمهورية السنغال، وحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى السنغال سعد النفيعي.
ويهدف المشروع إلى استكمال أعمال الطريق الذي يبلغ طوله (80) كم، من خلال رفع معايير تقديم الخدمات الأساسية للطريق وإعادة تأهيلها، وتشمل إنشاء وحدات لتقديم الإسعافات الأولية للمصابين في الحوادث المرورية، بالإضافة إلى حفر آبار المياه لخدمة المسافرين وسكان منطقة المشروع.
ويسهم المشروع التنموي في تطوير البنية التحتية لقطاع النقل في السنغال، وخفض معدل الوفيات والإصابات الناجمة عن الحوادث المرورية وتحسين مستوى سلامة الطرق، فضلًا عن تعزيز المستويين التجاري والاقتصادي، وخفض تكاليف النقل، كما يسهم المشروع في إيجاد مدن ومجتمعات محلية مستدامة، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز الشراكات التنموية لتحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية المرجوة.
وأشاد فخامة الرئيس ماكي سال، بالجهود التنموية التي تقوم بها المملكة في المشروعات والبرامج الإنمائية عبر الصندوق السعودي للتنمية، في جمهورية السنغال منذ عام 1978م، وعمق العلاقة والتعاون الإنمائي المشترك بين الجانبين، مشيراً إلى أن هذا المشروع سيسهم في دعم النمو والازدهار في السنغال.
من جانبه، أوضح السفير النفيعي، أن هذا المشروع يأتي انطلاقًا من اهتمام حكومة المملكة من خلال الصندوق في دعم المشروعات والبرامج التنموية في جمهورية السنغال، مشيدًا بالعلاقات الوثيقة والجهود المشتركة بين البلدين، متمنيًا للحكومة والشعب السنغالي المزيد من التقدم والازدهار، وأن يكون هذا المشروع رافدًا من روافد التنمية.
يذكر أن الصندوق السعودي للتنمية، قدم منذ عام 1978م، (26) مشروعًا وبرنامجًا إنمائيًا بقيمة إجمالية تصل إلى حوالي (447) مليون دولار، بالإضافة إلى (4) منح كريمة مقدمة من حكومة المملكة من خلال الصندوق بقيمة تتجاوز (19) مليون دولار، للإسهام في نمو قطاعات البنية التحتية وازدهارها ولتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في جمهورية السنغال.
